Arthur's Pass Lodge - Township, Arthur's Pass National Park
This warm little base lodge is located in the heart of Arthur's Pass National Park, and is only two hours drive from Christchurch. It provides a great base from which is explore the surrounding mountains, with peaks suitable for beginner and advanced climbers alike.
Nestled amongst the trees at the very end of School Tce above Department of Conservation Headquarters at Arthur's Pass Township. Vehicle access and parking, 5 minutes walk from Railway Station, 2 minutes walk from Department of Conservation Visitor Center. An excellent base for climbing, tramping, walking and skiing in the surrounding National Park.
3 Rooms - total sleeps 28:
Room A: platform that sleeps 4 and one bunk on the bottom row (5) + 1 bunk in the centre and 4 on the top = 10
Room B: 5 bunks on the bottom, 5 in the centre and 5 on the top = 15
Wardens Room: 1 double bed and 1 single bunk above (but this is currently being used for storage) = 3
Single bunks and one double with mattresses, electricity, heaters, hot showers, fully equipped kitchen (cooking and eating utensils, fridge with ice-box only, stove, microwave), comfortable common room, wardens room, indoor toilets and a picnic table. We recommend you bring along some toilet paper - just in case supplies have run low.
Lodge locked with combination keypad, code available during office hours from the National Office when booking. Please note that the code is NOT available from the Department of Conservation at Arthur's Pass.
Fees are payable to the National Office, PO Box 786, Christchurch 8140, or can be left in the drop box at the lodge for casual users.

- Members child (11-17 yrs) $5
- Non-members $25 per night
- Non-members child and group youth rate (11–17 yrs) $15 per night
- Children (10 yrs and under) free
- Day use only $10
Group rates are by special arrangement only and may be made through the National Office
