This large alpine hut is located just below the snow line and offers amazing views across the Matukituki Valley, and provides a safe haven on route to ascents of Mount Aspiring.

Facilities:
15 bunks, DoC radio, water tank, toilet. Warden in residence during the summer months.
Access:
2 hours from Aspiring Hut to Pearl Flat then 3 hours up French Ridge through steep bush and open tussock.
Fees:
- Members $10 per night
- Non-members $20 per night
- Youth rate (11-17 years) half the adult rate.
- Children (10 yrs and under) free
Hut fees payable to warden when resident, or to the Aspiring Hut Warden when resident, or to the Department of Conservation Wanaka.
