Redevelopment of the entire bunkroom wing is complete. The official reopening was held on Sunday 16 October 2011 and the lodge is open for bookings. Chas Tanner and Katrina McKenzie, the new live-in Lodge Managers, will be there to welcome you. We hope you will check out the fantastic new facilities and enjoy your stay with us.

Unwin Lodge is the flagship of the NZAC hut network. This newly rebuilt lodge sits at the entrance to Aoraki Mt Cook National Park, and is the perfect base for everything from family day trips to the glaciers to adventures on New Zealand’s highest peaks.
State highway 80, Pukaki–Mt Cook Road, 3km before Aoraki Mt Cook Village
48 bunks, family units for members, water on tap, flush toilets and showers, electricity, kitchen, stoves and utensils, drying room, washing machine ($2 per wash), dining and common area with woodburner heater, Glasgow-Scott Library for members, telephone (03) 435 1840 (toll barred), internet access ($2 for 20 minutes).
The road entrance is clearly marked from state highway 80. Please park behind the Lodge. Shuttle transport to Unwin from Lake Tekapo, Twizel and Mount Cook Village can be arranged with The Cook Connection or phone 0800 26 65 26.
All fees are payable to the managers on site. If they are not available, fees may be posted to NZAC National Office, PO Box 786, Christchurch 8140.

Booking is essential for groups and recommended for individual Club members. Family rooms may be booked by members wishing to bring their families. Note that members take preference.
School and club groups are welcome but you need to book in advance.

NOTICE FOR UNWIN LODGE USERS
Unwin Lodge is fully booked for the following nights in March 2012. 1st, 7th, 21st,22nd and for a club members wedding on the 17th March which will require users to vacate by 8.30am on that morning.
