Expedition Capital Fund
The Expedition Capital Fund was established in 2012, with the intention of taking a long term view of building a Capital base to fund expeditions.
The proceeds of the inaugural Remarkables Ice and Mixed Festival were kindly donated as seed funding and the commitment has been made by the organisers to donate the proceeds from subsequent years.
On current projections, this will establish a Capital Fund of over $100,000 within 10 years. In turn, NZAC has made the commitment not to draw down on the Expedition Capital Fund for five years and to only draw upon the interest earned in any given year after that.
Watch out for this logo in our supporters' stores, or ask when making your climbing purchases, "Are you an NZAC Expedition Capital Fund Supporter?".
Retail Supporters of the Fund:
- Cactus Equipment have kindly offered to donate 1% of any purchase of their product by an NZAC member to the Fund. Members also receive a 10% discount on presentation of their membership card in-store, or contact NZAC below to obtain the online discount code.
