NATIONAL OFFICE: We always have a variety of fun admin things that we need help with at the Home of Mountaineering. Currently we need help with the upstairs library, filing, checking guidebooks, and tidying our storage room.

Section committees: Most Sections are on the look out for members to serve on their Section committee. With tidy sums of discretionary spending and the ability to 'put boots on the ground'....Section Committees generate the big outcomes for NZAC and the climbing community. A great way to gain governave experience and give back to the sport. Contact your local section for details.

Snowcraft and rock climbing instructors: Experienced members passing on their skills and experinece to novice climbers has been a core NZAC value for 120 years. Volunteer Instructors receive Outdoor First Aid and Avalanche Awareness training, as well as being invited to the Instructor Development Course every year. Volunteer instructor who show a commitment to NZAC Instruction can have their NZOIA or MSC qualifications paid for by NZAC. Contact your local section for details.

Membership Retention Programme: This incredibly succesfull programe has been in dormancy for 12 months and needs to be reinvigorated. It involves working from home, over the phone. Make contact with lapsed members and remind them to renew or ascertain the reason for their choice to not renew. This kind of thing makes NZAC a much stronger club and the envy of other National Recreational Organisations. You must basic MS Excel skills and a nice phone manner.
