Canty/Westland Section - Mt Adams Trip

We will leave Christchurch on Friday afternoon to drive to the West Coast (with an overnight stay depending on agreed leaving time). 

Walk up to a high camp above the bushline on Saturday and climb of Mt Adams on Sunday with walk out and drive back. 

This trip is for very fit parties, as it contains a 2000m+ height gain on steep terrain - but views across the Whataroa River and Coast are very rewarding.  Some mountaineering experience required and helmets are compulsory. 

Approximate fuel costs will be around $60.00, plus overnight stay on Friday. 

In case of bad weather weekend 18-19 February will serve as a backup.
