Aoraki Mt Cook Huts
This large, comfortable lodge in Aoraki Mt Cook National Park which has been recently redeveloped and is now open again for business. Unwin Lodge has served as a climbers’ base for many years and is also available for members to book for family and friends.
The head of the Murchison Glacier provides varied mountaineering options as well as superb ski touring during winter and spring.
The peaks of the Minarets and De la Beche can be reached from this hut on the western side of the Tasman Glacier. It also provides a base for those travelling up or back from Tasman Saddle.
The Godley valley is a less frequently visited part of Aoraki Mt Cook National Park, and this rustic hut is a base for those looking for the challenges of more remote peaks and mountain terrain.
