Department of Conservation Huts
Plateau Hut
A large network of huts are run by the Department of Conservation including huts which are of interest to climbers. These huts contain mattresses and sometimes a radio. NZAC members receive a discount, on producing their current NZAC membership card, at DOC alpine huts.
