French Ridge Hut

Location
1465m on the Mt French ridge, West Matukituki Valley, Mount Aspiring National Park.

 

Facilities
 15 bunks, DoC radio, water tank, toilet. Warden in residence during the summer months.

Access
 2 hours from Aspiring Hut to Pearl Flat then 3 hours up French Ridge through steep bush and open tussock.

Fees
 NZAC Members $10. Non-members $20 per night. Youth rate (11 - 17 years) is half the adult rate.  Children (10 years or less) free. Hut fees payable to warden when resident, or to the Aspiring Hut Warden when resident, or to the Department of Conservation Wanaka.
