Mount Aspiring National Park Huts
This large and beautiful stone hut is situated only a few hours walk up the Matukituki Valley in the heart of the Aspiring mountains. A great location, with attractions for all the family.
Built in 2000, high on French Ridge, French Ridge Hut gives ready access to New Zealand's subalpine environment. The hut is also well situated for access to the Bonar Glacier and Mt Aspiring.
Colin Todd Hut sits at the base of the North West Ridge of Mt Aspiring, the Matterhorn of the south. It provides a popular base for routes on Mt Aspiring and the surrounding peaks.
This small hut is located near Wright Col, between Mt Earnslaw's East Pk and O’Leary Pk. A beautiful and quickly accessible high mountain environment.
This historic hut sits in the lower reaches of the Matukituki Valley. The hut is locked and bookings are required.
