Successful Kiwi/American climber to speak around the country
Successful Kiwi/American climber Graham Zimmerman was awarded the CMC-New Zealand Mountaineer of the Year Award in Christchurch on July 21st and gave a presentation on his climbing.
Graham is now doing a short tour of the country speaking to a number of the NZAC sections.
Graham will be speaking in Wellington on August 1st;Queenstown on August 4th; Auckland on August 8th and Hamilton on August 9th.
After learning to mountaineer in New Zealand while attending Dunedin University Graham has gone on to climb in Nepal, Alaska, Patagonia and Yosemite. His aim is to be proficient in all forms of climbing from sport to high altitude and he feels New Zealand is a great place to gain a good grounding.
