This guidebook is the first ever to the crags north of Auckland. The cliffs range from the volcanic tower of Mangaraho to the limestone of Ngahere Drive, nestled like a mini-Paynes Ford in bush near Whangarei, and seacliff climbing at Ti Point. The Mt Eden Quarry, located close to the centre of Auckland, was the birthplace of hard rockclimbing in New Zealand.
