Advanced Rock Skills Course

As many rock climbers know, more serious accidents occur while you are at the top of a climb than while you are moving up it. This is a vital course for anyone who wants to be able to move from indoor leading to outdoor sport and traditional multi-pitch climbing.

The Advanced Rock Skills Course (ARSC) is a three-day course designed for those who already have lead climbing experience, either indoors or outdoors. The course covers the fundamentals of multi-pitch climbing, transitions, traditional gear and anchor placements.

We are lucky to have Dave Brash, one of the most experienced rock instructors around, run this course for on behalf of the NZAC.

Participants must be NZAC members and enrolled at the Unwin Easter Rock Meet.
