Due to an increase in internet-based requirements within the NZAC, an IT Committee was formed late in 2016. Their purpose is to work on developing fully-functioning, forward-looking and efficient internet-based facilities for the Club.

The main focus points of the IT Committee currently are improvements to the NZAC website, membership and route databases. There is some cross-over with the Publications Committee, especially around guidebook information online, The Climber magazine website and NZ Alpine Journal digitalisation.

The current members (2017-2018) of the IT Committee are:
