Club Purpose
PURPOSE
The purposes of the Club are to
a) encourage mountaineering, rock climbing and allied activities, and the enjoyment and conservation of mountain regions;
b) bring together those interested in climbing; and
c) do anything necessary or helpful for the above purposes.
The Club aims to provide services for climbers, protect the interests and safety of climbers, and promote climbing activities (Club Rule 2b).
Pecuniary gain is not a purpose of the Club.

Running the day-to-day administration and business of the wider Club is done out of the ‘Home of Mountaineering‘, our National Office, based in Christchurch.
