Powerband Podcast With Scott Mooney

In what can only be described as 'a scoop' for his fantastic ongoing series of interviews covering the history of New Zealand's rock climbing, John Palmer has interviewed Scott Mooney for his Powerband Podcast. The name Scott Mooney may not be familiar with many of the rock climbing arrivistes, as he has been based in Sweden for the past twenty years. Nevertheless, Scott left an indelible mark on the NZ climbing scene, especially in Auckland. Most significantly, Scott has accumulated the most impressive resume in New Zealand sport climbing history, with around 500 grade 29 routes, and several hundred routes between 31 and 34. This enigmatic character has long been whispered about in Auckland climbing gyms, so listen in to this episode to learn more about the man who can only be described as a climbing machine.
