First Ascent of Everest 70th Anniversary

May 29th 2023 is the 70th anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Everest—the world's highest mountain—by Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. 

There are many events to celebrate the occasion which you can read about here. In New Zealand, the Himalayan Trust founded by Sir Edmund and Louise Hillary will be hosting two cocktail events; one in Auckland and one in Christchurch.
